Hitchcock named the mysterious tracks Eubrontes. Eubrontes is Greek for “like thunder” Hitchcock thought that the animal that made these tracks was so large that its step must have sounded like thunder.

No one has ever found the skeletal bones of a Eubrontes', but that didn't stop scientists from trying to find out what Eubrontes might have looked like.
